Flower Mound, Texas

The Church of the Apostles would like to thank those who come from Flower Mound, Texas to worship with us.

Flower Mound is a suburb of Fort Worth and Dallas. Its population was 64,669 in the 2010 Census. The town of Flower Mound, TX, derives its name from the prominent 12.5-acre mound located in the southern portion of the town. The most widely accepted explanation for the mound is that it was a sacred ceremonial ground of Wichita Indians in the early 19th century. Though surrounded by commercial and residential development, the mound is privately owned to protect it from further development.

Flower Mound has a suburban mid-size city atmosphere with easy access to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It refuses to be referred to as a "city" despite its recent growth; it bills itself as the "Town of Flower Mound" with a "Town Hall" and a "Town Council."

Flower Mound has a first-rate school system, a wide variety of quality housing options, and a safe family environment that continues to attract hundreds of new families each year. Recreational options are plentiful in Flower Mound and include award-winning bike and nature trails, beautiful Lake Grapevine, and two world-class golf courses that attract visitors from across the country.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Alliance Airport, Texas Motor Speedway, and the dining, shopping, recreation, and cultural activities of both Dallas and Fort Worth are all within minutes.

The Flower Mound Chamber stands ready to serve this vibrant community and is committed to working with community and business leaders in promoting positive economic growth and responding to the issues surrounding that growth. The Flower Mound Chamber is dedicated to supporting the business community for the economic prosperity of Flower Mound.

We are deeply blessed with many members, and we invite all Episcopalians and Christians in the Flower Mound, Texas area to join us.
