Godly Play Sunday School Starts the Year in High Gear

Godly Play Sunday School is off to a good start. It is for children ages 3 through those who attend second grade. Godly Play is a Montessori-based curriculum that teaches children the stories of the Old and New testaments with works that are designed for them to manipulate and use over and over again to reinforce learning.

Sunday school starts at 9:30 a.m. We begin with a short welcome time, followed by a story or work. The children are then given time to complete an art response or simple craft. We then enjoy our feast (a small snack). Before we leave, we always include prayer time and the children are given the opportunity to share a prayer request with the class. It is so sweet to see how thoughtful they are in coming up with their requests!
