Meets Once More!

Do you like to read? Do you write poetry or prose?

After a long hiatus, Badger, Rat & Mole are once again throwing open the door to Badger's home, This old Apostles' tradition provides an opportunity for those who love to read or even write their own stuff!

You are once again invited to join the merry band in a literary evening on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

Badger, Rat & Mole will be meeting at the Rectory, 445 Crestview Point Drive, Lewisville. Contact Fr. Rob for reservations and directions. This literary evening also features a potluck dinner. Fr. Rob and Diana will provide the meal. What would you like to bring?

A Fr. Rob Poem:

Fog

Milk bottle fog,

opaque glass
cloaks whisps of grass.
Treble monotone

bass and baritone

longely voices harp

"My rocks are always sharp.

All life is dear.

No channel here."

On still brine

no sun will shine

Milk, bottle fog.

The general rule is no readings or music over 5 minutes in length!

This is intended to be a light evening of literary entertainment rather than a time of sharing devotional materials. Stuff gathered from the internet or emails is not encouraged. Instead, bring something that you are currently reading for sheer enjoyment. Example: C. S. Lewis' Narnia Tales would be acceptable, but his Problem of Pain, or Mere Christianity would not.
