Open Your Heart and Be a Church Buddy

The Church Buddy program assists new member families in learning about Apostles and all we have to offer, outside of worship on Sundays.

If you are interested, fill out the sign up sheet below To Be A Buddy Family for new members.

A Buddy is not satisfied until each new member who joins our church feels relaxed and welcome. Buddy families are invaluable resources for getting information on everything from ministry opportunities to church phone numbers. You could help direct someone who needs to shop for something specific, with baby sitters or just be available to talk to when they feel the need. It's a great way to insure that new members who join our church family have all available support, on a one-to-one basis, for the transition into our Apostles’ family.

Knowing one another at more than a superficial level is vital if we are to understand and respond to each other’s needs and strengths. If we feel welcome, and accepted for who we are, then our parish family is more likely to be a place we can turn to in times of joy and sorrow, as well as a place where we are receptive to further opportunities for growth.

A Buddy especially hopes to encourage new parishioners in becoming full and active members of our faith community. The Buddy's job will be to communicate with a new member and help integrate them into the life and service of the church. A Buddy will ensure that the CHURCH knows if a new member falls ill or experiences hardship.

THE BUDDY PROGRAM IS A SUPPORT SYSTEM: a group for those caring and sharing in the life of NEW MEMBERS OF THE APOSTLE FAMILY.
