A Canadian Time-Line When will we know what is going to happen? We sometimes forget that the current crisis is not purely local. The following time-line from our Canadian Anglican brothers and sisters will help in understanding the flow of events. The meeting this September in Rwanda will have a strong effect on the February 2007 primates meeting and subsequently on the Lambeth invitations to go out during 2007.
She also noted that the next Lambeth Conference -- a gathering of Anglican bishops from all over the world that takes place every 10 years -- will occur in 2008, but the invitations to Lambeth will be sent out some time in 2007. "That is really the big date, because everybody wants to know who will be invited," she said.” There is a strong possibility that the Lambeth invitations may not be extended to those who refuse to participate in a covenant relationship with the other members of the Anglican Communion. That will directly affect The Episcopal Church. I would anticipate that some bishops will be invited, and that others will not be. Father
