Dear
Church Family:
Much
has occurred during the past several months
at Apostles and I want to take this opportunity
to share some important information with you.
I wish that I could personally visit with each
household, but obviously that is not possible.
Through what I am about to share, it is my desire
that our church will sense the leadership of
God as we are faithful to Him in the days ahead.
I know you would agree that the ministries of
our church are a blessing, not only to our own
church families, but also to those families
beyond our walls. God continues to bless our
efforts by adding an increasing number of individuals
to our church. During the fall of last year
we grew by 9.9%, and that increase in growth
will go sharply upward as we enter into the
process of building a new building. After some
tight times, we ended the year with our budget
in the black, and have begun this year with
around $80,000.00 cash in hand. We are working
hard to ensure that our pledge income and expenses
are realistic. What will help that more than
anything else is taking a positive step forward
by providing church facilities that will meet
the fellowship and worship needs of our congregation.
The Master’s Plan - a campaign for the future
of our family is the name we have chosen for
our church expansion. It is our desire to step
forward and fulfill the financial and growth
needs of our church. As part of our capital
campaign, we are asking you and every household
in our church to prayerfully consider making
a sacrificial commitment (over and above your
ongoing tithes and offerings) to be given over
the next three years. It is our prayer to raise
$1.5 million in order to move forward in our
ministry. As you can see The Master’s Plan is
an important step to our future and you are
vital to its success.
These are exciting days of decision in our church.
Let us commit to know and do the will of God.
He has granted to each of us the privilege of
being a part of a fellowship where the Spirit
of God is so warm and alive. This privilege
implies a responsibility of sharing our blessings
with others. To the glory of God, we will step
forward in faith.
In Christ’s Name,
Fr. Rob Smith+
