Contact
Kathy Reinhart to chat about how you can serve
in the building of the Lord's Kingdom. "
... get out of the boat. The water's great!"
This
job will be brief, perhaps a couple of weeks
in mid fall. We need someone to investigate
city regulations, contact sign companies for
pricing, design the sign (Building Committee
can help), and get the sign placed on our future
site as soon as the plans have been finalized.
Laying
the Cornerstone!!!
This job is an opportunity to develop a complete
marketing and execution plan. We will again
be offering the quions that adorn our present
building. We already have
a contact with a stone carver. This job would
involve developing a marketing strategy, coordinating
the ordering process, and coordinating the purchase
of the stones and the engraving of the stones.
This will be a job that will begin now with
the development and continue until the church
is complete. There will be the opportunity to
have in place future offerings of the quions
well past the completion date. It is a wonderful
opportunity for someone who is creative and
business oriented. It will involve one person
to head this up with others to help.
This
job will take about three months to accomplish.
We will be planning a fundraiser auction through
Ebay in mid to late 2007. We need someone who
is organized, someone who might be Ebay savvy,
and someone who knows how to wrap and ship things.
This may be one person or two or three people!
Ebay has an auction site for non-profit organizations
to raise money. It would be a fun and exciting
experience.
Can
you hear me now??? We
are looking to lease “cell tower” capabilities
in the bell tower to a telecom company, if possible.
We have been contacting companies, but it is
a slow and almost a sleuthing type process.
It takes many phone calls to talk to a live
person to attempt to get a name or address of
the correct division within the telecom companies
to approach about our future bell tower. We
know that this is not the normal way telecom
companies choose their cell tower locations;
however, we feel that it is worth a try. This
job is a self-paced job and would only take
long enough to make contact with the companies
and get an address that we might be able to
send a letter of introduction. It also would
be a community service if we could improve the
cell phone reception in Coppell.
Do
you have the Write Stuff???
If you have writing skills and would like to
help keep the website updated, we need you.
We need someone to write and submit articles
to the webmaster to keep the Masters Plan part
of the website updated. The job might also involve
writing a few other articles as the vision progresses.
Communication through the written word is such
a gift. If this is your gift please consider
sharing it.
Four,
Fore, Watch Out!! John
Logan will be teeing off and spearheading the
next Apostles Golf Tournament. We do not have
the date yet- fall or spring? But we do know
that John will welcome the help of a few golf
happy folks. The days around the tournament
are always active and of course the organizational
time involved before it all happens. John is
very knowledgeable on putting on a class tournament
and it’s a great way to get involved with a
fun Apostles event. Give him a call.
Got
Ideas???
We are looking for fund raising ideas. We would
like to focus on things that would involve our
church family (the fellowship that comes from
working together is fantastic at Apostles),
but draw the monies from outside our membership.
So, if you know of a great event or have an
idea, we would love to hear about it. Even if
you do not want to “DO”
the event, we’d still love to hear about it.
